RENEWABLE ENERGY

The total energy consumption of the world is increasing, and this tendency is expected to continue. Energy collected in the form of light from the sun will be one of the most important resources in the future. Both collection of sun energy for heating of water (Concentrated Solar Power) and production of electricity (Photovoltaic) are among the research and development focuses of Polyteknik.
  • Photovoltaic - PV
  • Concentrated solar power - CSP
Infinity Batch system

CIGS ENERGY LAB
Systems for the thermal evaporation and magnetron sputtering process steps in a CIGS solar cell production or research is available from Polyteknik. The basic modules are designed from our Infinity series, where a later up-scaling is easily done. The CIGS energy lab consists of three individual machines for sputtering deposition of barrier layer, copper/gallium and indium, thermal evaporation of selenium and finally sputtering deposition of anti-reflection coating. The systems are only offered as raw systems without a final recipe for a complete working solar cell. These systems are suited for thin film solar cell research.
  • Flexible deposition systems for CIG and anti reflection coating
  • Handling of flexible substrates
  • Customer defined concept systems

AMORPHOUS SILICON - THIN FILM R&D SYSTEMS
Deposition systems for PECVD processes and sputtering of anti-reflection coating are offered on behalf of customers demands. Systems for amorphous silicon deposition are based on the Cryofox Infinity series. The systems are only offered as raw systems, without a final recipe for a complete working solar cell. These systems are suited for thin film solar cell research.
  • PECVD of a-Si layers
  • Magnetron sputtering of barrier and antireflection layers
  • Customer defined concept systems

THERMAL ABSORBERS
With a special series of the Cryofox Infinity systems, Polyteknik offers tailor-made systems for deposition of absorber coatings on both tubes and foils.

CSP PROJECT
Polyteknik is, in cooperation with partners from Danish universities and industry, developing a new generation of coatings for concentrated solar power.
